Over the past two years, Dr. Russell Knight and our team have developed and refined and deployed this program across 20 school districts. Named Ethical AI readiness framework through district engagement, classroom implementation, and early impact measurement. National AI Opportunity
President Trump has made AI education a national priority. His April 2025 Executive Order directs federal agencies, including the Department of Education, to expand AI literacy in K-12 schools and identify funding mechanisms to support it.
The Artificial Intelligence Institute has responded to his directive by developing and implemented that exact platform.
We call it the drivers education needed the driver education for Artificial Intelligence. Designed to advance that national goal through a public-private partnership.
This is not a proposal in development, it is an operating program, refined across 20 school districts over two years through paid district deployment, ready for immediate national deployment.
The Department of Education has been directed to prioritize AI literacy funding under the President's Executive Order, with tens of millions already flowing through federal AI education grant programs.

Dr. Russell Knight

26+ years at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Dr. Russell Knight is a pioneer in mission-critical artificial intelligence, the kind that cannot afford to be wrong. For more than twenty-six years at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, he built autonomous AI systems for environments where failure is not an option, including deep-space navigation across a 302-million-mile journey. His work is documented in peer-reviewed publications and patents and has been recognized with NASA awards. No one else has taken that discipline, verification, disciplined reasoning, human accountability under real stakes, and translated it into how a nine-year-old learns to think alongside AI. That is the gap nobody else has closed. Dr. Knight closed it.
Dr. Knight is available to brief designated federal leadership directly on the framework, the implementation experience, and the observed classroom results.

Richard Awni spent twenty-five years earning trust in Los Angeles communities the slow ways, one family, one school, one relationship at a time, without salary, because he believed it was the right thing to do. That work put him in the room when students first started showing up dependent on AI in ways no curriculum had prepared them for. He didn't set out to build a national movement. He found a national problem and recognized it was bigger than any one organization could carry alone. That recognition, and the trust it took twenty-five years to earn, is what makes this initiative real instead of theoretical.

Brian Taylor
Vice President, Strategic Alliances & National Development, Artificial Intelligence Institute
Brian Taylor has spent decades building the systems that get big ideas into real institutions, as a founding board member of one of the country's most closely watched charter school networks, as Harvard-Westlake's first Director of Diversity, and as founder of both the Brian Taylor Leadership Institute and Princeton's Summer of a Lifetime program. He was the leading scorer for the U.S. team at the 1971 Pan-American Games, a Princeton graduate who has spent the years since building institutions, not resting on the ones he helped start. He brings the one thing a national initiative like this cannot succeed without: the ability to turn belief into a coalition.

Lea Ubas
Teacher, President of Advisory Board, Artificial Intelligence Institute · President, Family First Foundation · Commissioner, City of Glendale
Lea started as a teacher, then built her governance career one board at a time, PTA unit president, then VP, now Executive Vice President of the Glendale Council PTA, overseeing 24 individual school boards from Pomona to Glendale, including their budgets, their finances, and how each one runs its programs. As a City of Glendale Commissioner, she sits on the Community Development Block Grant Commission, directly overseeing roughly $3.4 million in federal funds every year. That's not advisory input from the sidelines, it's hands-on fiduciary oversight of a real federal budget, the same standard of accountability this initiative would bring to national-scale deployment.

THE PROOF
78% of students were already using AI before the Institute arrived. Only 13.6% had received any structured guidance on how.
After completing the program: right-way AI use rose from 15.8% to 88%. Safe-use knowledge rose from 28.4% to 90%. Verifying AI output before use rose from 41.3% to 89%. Attendance increased 10% after the second session, on a voluntary basis.
These are not attitude surveys. They are documented behavioral changes, measured directly, across two years of real deployment in real classrooms.
